At the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Fran Phuan, CEO of Sunseap Group, said that the CMX Renewable Energy Vietnam solar power farm has a scale of 168 hectares, a capacity of 168 MW, and a total capital of more than 4,400 billion VND.

When completed in June 2019, the plant will provide electricity for about 200,000 households, creating jobs for more than 200 local workers.

Mr. Pham Van Hau, vice chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, said that over the years, domestic and foreign investors have always sought opportunities to invest in solar power projects in Ninh Thuan because it is a province with advantages in energy development. renewable energy with an average wind speed of 7-8m/s, sunshine hours of more than 2,800 hours/year and radiation of over 1,800 kWh/m2/year.

Therefore, Ninh Thuan plans to develop renewable energy by 2020 with 9,000MW of solar power and 1,400MW of wind power.

According to Mr. Hau, up to now, the province has decided to grant investment policies for 40 solar power and wind power projects with a total capacity of over 2,000MW. Among them, three solar power projects with a total capacity of 130MW have started construction, and one wind power project with a capacity of 6MW has been connected to the national grid.

According to Ms. Leow Siu Lin, Consulate General of Singapore in Vietnam, the CMX Renewable Energy Solar Power Plant project invested by Sunseap Group is a new investment cooperation in the field of renewable energy between the two countries of Vietnam. South and Singapore.

"Singapore is Vietnam's 6th largest trading partner and the third largest investor in Vietnam, after Japan and Korea, with nearly 1,900 projects" - Ms. Leow Siu Lin said.

On this occasion, CMS Re Sunseap Vietnam Solar Power Joint Stock Company donated 300 million VND to the Provincial Poor Patients Fund, the Provincial Hospital's medical examination and treatment fund, the My Son and Truong Commune Poor Patients Funds. My Son Secondary School.
